Anatomy of a CredoLine Pipe |
Only premium briar roots are used for the CredoLine. Wild cut in the bush of Corsica or southern Italy, our briar trees must be at least 40 years old. After weeks of rest and maturation in a humid environment, the Erica Arborea shrubs used for the pipes are stored in a dark drying shed for at least 5 years. |
Over 250 years of pipes carving make of Saint-Claude the world capital of pipe manufacturing. Another speciality develops during this period: a local tradition of shaping diamonds, wooden rosaries and religious articles. Like shaping diamond, the cutting of the ebauchon blocks needs the acurate eyes of the pipe maker. The shrub must be cut according to what it may give. Here, the root decides. |
3 classic shapes for this CredoLine collection. The straight Apple, with its timeless proportions. The elegant half bent, prefered by the young smokers. The bent, the ideal outdoor pipe. Sailors and adventurers are mostly fond of it. |

The stem is the key point of the CredoLine concept. The slight variations of briar tones are accorded to the stem to create a tone continuity; that famous color line. Obviously, the sanded pipes are provided with frosted stems. |
The ring is such a discreet signature. It is intended to emphasize the color unity. The ring is made of the same briar ebauchon with a different treatment. Here by the satin finish, the ring is sanded and vice versa.
The CredoLine seal is located under the pipe. The "St CLAUDE FRANCE" engraving is a warranty of origin.
